We planned this for years and now the single strings/ storylines come together as planned.

It reminds me of building a complex lego set. The joy increases when the different sub models are finished now put together. The whole model is evolving under your fingers. This is how it feels at the moment.

Last week has been incredibly eventful and filled with significant progress.

Let's dive into each day's highlights:

Monday

We visited the RV build company, Twiga, where we saw our truck and cabin combined for the first time.

We stood inside the nearly finished cabin and admired our beautifully designed space.

The layout was planned to allow for indoor exercises, ensuring Annika can stay fit even in bad weather.

The elevated seating area ensures a seamless view through the windows, making the most of the scenic places we will visit.

All our plans are finally coming together, making the truck truly ours. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Tuesday

Received a message from my longtime friend of 34 years, who was in Düsseldorf.

We met and spent the whole day talking about the past and discussing future plans.

It felt like no time had passed since we last met.

Wednesday

Delivered my final speech at Toastmasters Club Düsseldorf, where I've been a member for six years.

Reflected on my growth as a speaker, person, and listener.

Thursday

Annika had her truck driver's license exam. She was nervous but passed with flying colors. Now she can drive the truck too!

Friday

Annika and I discussed the importance of routines on the road, for her its essential incorporating sports.

We decided to include non-electric folding bikes in our garage to facilitate this.

We opted for non-electric folding bikes to avoid compromises with e-bikes. Annika chose 20-inch wheels for stability.

We finalized our choice with the Vello Afine 11 and also rented a Brompton to compare. Both are excellent choices.

Sunday

We'll continue to meet important people in our vicinity. On Sunday, we brunched with old friends we met 27 years ago in a hospital in Darmstadt. Despite our relocations, we never lived more than 25 km apart.

Just like the intricate process of building a Lego masterpiece, each step we've taken over the past week has brought us closer to our ultimate vision. Each individual activity and interaction has been like adding a new piece to our overarching model.

The satisfaction of witnessing everything come together—much like completing a complicated Lego structure—is truly satisfying.
